Not-a-Blogs are an ongoing project in which RSK makes and mails art to a rotating list of people around the world. These pieces are meant to share her experiences and encourage human connection without the use of technology. Each Not-a-Blog in the January 2010 series contains a page from a religious text depicting a Hindu god which is sewn into a scrap of embroidered material, which is in turn sewn into an envelope made of paper table napkins. Each of the elements the Hindu texts, the embroidery, the napkins even the kite string with which many were bound were produced in India. The beauty of the images and embroidery are juxtaposed with the crudeness of the artists stitching.
